Free PM Solar Rooftop Subsidy Scheme

Narendra Modi, the prime minister of the Nation, launched the Solar Rooftop Scheme 2024. Benefits for reducing electricity bills are provided by this scheme to those who fall into the low category or have precarious financial conditions. Under this plan, they receive free energy from solar panels that are installed on their rooftops.

It is important to emphasize that doing this will free up impoverished citizens from having to pay energy bills, enabling them to become self-sufficient and maybe enjoy hassle-free energy use. The PM Rooftop Solar Scheme is fully covered in this article.

Objectives of PM Solar Rooftop Scheme

The PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, also known as the Rooftop Solar Yojana, intends to supply 300 units of free electricity per month to light up one crore houses. The goal of this plan is to use solar energy and install rooftop solar panels to lower the house’s electricity expenditures.

Installation Procedure for Rooftop Solar Scheme

Rooftop solar panels, sometimes referred to as photovoltaic panels are installed on homes’ or buildings’ roofs and connected to a central power source. Cost reductions result from this installation’s reduced dependency on grid-connected electricity.

With Net Metering, any excess energy or power produced by the solar panels is sold to the electricity distribution companies for a fair price, making the entire process more financially sound. As a result, it significantly lowers overall electricity bills by achieving a balance between consumption and contribution.
